Here we provide examples of how school-wide professional learning, teacher leader professional learning, collaborative planning time, and job-embedded professional learning all supported the themes/foci for the year (see the Ten-Year Overview artifact above). Below, we provide an overview of the foci for each of the first ten years of partnership. We are not necessarily proposing that this is what one should do, but it is an outline of what took place at John Lewis.

The EPO enacts a distributed leadership model, inclusive of Teacher Leaders who engage faculty in curricular and instructional improvement through an embedded professional learning model that includes elements such as collaborative planning, curriculum development, continuous improvement cycles, data analysis, content-focused instructional coaching, and other forms of professional support. These three artifacts are from the John Lewis School.
